Cross-chain Interoperability
AIHI Chain’s architecture fully embraces the need for cross-chain interoperability, aiming to achieve seamless connections with multiple blockchain networks and break down barriers between chains. By adopting open cross-chain protocols and modular bridges, AIHI supports not only direct interactions with the Ethereum mainnet but also interoperability with other Layer 2 networks (such as Arbitrum and zkSync) and non-EVM chains (such as Cosmos and Polkadot), enabling cross-chain messaging, asset transfers, and contract calls.
The core of AIHI Chain’s cross-chain interoperability mechanism includes: Standard Cross-chain Bridge: Based on the Optimism standard bridge protocol, AIHI enables bidirectional asset transfers between L1 and L2 (Ethereum mainnet and AIHI Chain). Using lock-and-mint mechanisms, it ensures secure and efficient asset bridging. Users can stake ETH or ERC-20 tokens on L1 to receive corresponding assets on AIHI Chain, or withdraw from AIHI Chain to Ethereum mainnet following challenge periods and verification processes to secure funds.
Inter-chain Messaging and Contract Interoperability: AIHI Chain’s cross-chain messaging system supports the transmission of data, commands, and contract calls between different chains, greatly enriching multi-chain interaction scenarios. For example, RWA applications can deploy business logic on AIHI Chain while interacting with smart contracts on Ethereum mainnet or other chains through cross-chain messages, facilitating asset transfer, settlement, and compliance integration.
Future Expansion and Non-EVM Chain Support: AIHI Chain’s cross-chain architecture is designed with the capacity to support various non-EVM chains, including networks like Cosmos and Polkadot that utilize IBC, XCMP, and other cross-chain protocols. By enabling interoperability with these chains, AIHI builds bridges for asset and data flows, driving the growth of the cross-chain ecosystem.
Cross-chain interoperability not only positions AIHI Chain as a vital extension of the Ethereum ecosystem but also as a hub connecting the multi-chain world, creating bridges for RWA, DeFi, NFT, and other sectors to unlock the potential of value flows across blockchains.
